In the 2025 federal election, 104 out of 343 elected MPs were women or gender-diverse people. In 2026, 3 more women were elected, for a total of 105. This represents 30.6% of the House of Commons.

Between 2015-2021, the number of women elected to the House of Commons rose slowly but steadily. In the 2025 election, more women were elected than prior years, but the increase in the total number of seats in the House of Commons means that the percentage of MPs who are women or gender-diverse people has fallen slightly.
| Election Year | Number of Seats in the House of Commons | Number of Women/Gender-Diverse People Elected | Percentage of Women/Gender-Diverse People Elected |
| 2015 | 338 | 88 | 26.0% |
| 2019 | 338 | 98 | 29.0% |
