Creating a Safer, More Respectful Parliament

On June 5, 2025, members of the Canadian Association of Feminist Parliamentarians (CAFP) relaunched their cross-partisan pledge to end workplace harassment and foster greater civility on Parliament Hill. Originally introduced in June 2024, this voluntary pledge is open to all Members of Parliament and Senators who are committed to creating a healthier and more respectful political environment.

Equal Voice applauds this renewed commitment to building a safer, more respectful work environment for all those who serve—and aspire to serve—in public office.

We extend our thanks to those who have taken the pledge, and we hope others will do the same. Equal Voice will continue working toward a political culture where civil discourse, mutual respect, and safety are not the exception—they’re the norm.
