WHAT IS CAMPAIGN SCHOOL?
This program is designed to equip Indigenous women, Two Spirit and gender-diverse individuals with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to run for political office in Canada – This includes municipal, provincial, federal and Indigenous leadership elections. Equal Voice is a multi-partisan organization and this program will provide the opportunity to hear from elected officials and experts from all political parties and spheres.
This program consists of 4 online sessions including a mix of group exercises, guest speakers, and networking opportunities with other Indigenous leaders from across Canada.
Each session is approximately 2.5 hours for a total of 10 hours of learning over 4 weeks. Participants will receive a comprehensive workbook to guide them through the sessions.
This 4-session program costs $150 and bursaries are available.

Session 1: Before the Ballot & Raise Your Profile
Sunday March 22, 1-3.30pm ET
Explore your "why", understand where you fit on the political spectrum and learn about the things you need to do before you announce your run. We will also talk about the nomination process and how one logistically gets their name on a ballot. Learn about strategies on how to build your overall network and canvassing for votes.
Session 2: Mobilize Your Team
Sunday March 29, 1-3.30pm ET
Learn about different campaign team roles, traits and skills to look for, as well as tips on how to recruit/retain volunteers.
Session 3: Media & Mass Communications Confidence
Sunday April 12, 1-3.30pm ET
Define your brand, reach larger audiences, and gain confidence with public speaking and media interviews.
Session 4: Campaign Fundraising & Budgeting
Sunday April 19, 1-3.30pm ET
How much will you need, where will you get it, and what are the rules?
PLUS — hear directly from politicians, political staffers, and campaign managers from every level of government and political stripe. They’ll share their journeys into politics, wildest campaign-trail stories, what they wish they’d known before they started, their biggest wins, toughest challenges, and all the messy, hilarious, inspiring moments in between.

WHEN & WHERE
This campaign school will run every Sunday from March 22 to April 19, 2026 (Except April 5) @ 01:00pm – 03:30pm EST on Zoom in English only.
PROGRAM COSTS
The program fee is $150. Don't let cost be a barrier - Financial assistance, as well as childcare subsidies are available upon request! Please indicate interest for these items in the program registration form.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Cost should never be a barrier to exploring political leadership. We offer full and partial scholarships for Campaign Schools, as well as limited travel and childcare subsidies, based on need and available funds.
Scholarships are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with limited spaces available. To apply, select “Attendee – Scholarship” when registering and complete the required questions by March 16, 2026.

Facilitator
Kluane Adamek
Kluane Adamek is a proud citizen of Kluane First Nation and has served as the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Yukon Regional Chief since 2018.
As Regional Chief, Kluane consistently presses for change in the ways that women, young people, and the next generation are included and empowered in decision-making forums, and she is committed to approaching her own leadership journey in a way that reflects her inner-most values as a Yukon First Nation woman. Kluane is deeply committed to advancing the interests of the 14 Yukon First Nations and works closely with Chiefs and citizens to advance their priorities and interests, both regionally and nationally.
She has proven experience in both the private and public sectors, and in Government. While pursuing her Jane Glassco Northern Fellowship with the Walter and Duncan Gordon Charitable Foundation, she led and founded “Our Voices,” a collective of northern Indigenous emerging leaders and is incredibly passionate about supporting youth and emerging leaders in the North and beyond.
