The Equal Voice Foundation Gala celebrates the achievements of women and gender-diverse individuals in politics and raises funds to support the Foundation's programs and initiatives.
The Gala serves as a platform to highlight the importance of gender equality in political decision-making. It encourages women and gender-diverse individuals to get involved in politics at all levels. It also aims to raise awareness about the existing gender disparities in political representation and the need for more diverse voices in positions of power.
Equal Voice is pleased to announce that Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon Governor General of Canada, will be our keynote speaker at this year’s annual gala. Her Excellency will be joined by renowned journalist, Lisa LaFlamme, for a conversation about the experiences, barriers, and successes of women in politics and public life.
Last year's Gala was a great success, bringing together leaders from across Canadian politics to recognize the need for gender equality in politics. Here are some of the highlights from the event:
