Candidate - Director-at-large
Tracee Smith is a corporate and charitable executive with over 15 years’ experience in the areas of strategy and finance. A member of Missanabie Cree First Nation in northern Ontario, she also advises companies and charities on beginning and maintaining Indigenous strategies including companies such as Nestle Waters Canada and Imperial Oil.
She is currently the CEO of a charity she founded in 2007, Outside Looking In, a national high school credit dance program for Indigenous youth. Starting in the private sector, she has worked for TE Wealth, TD Bank and TD Securities, BMO Financial Group and Dundee Corporation. She holds both an MBA and Masters in Finance, and a Honours BA in Dance and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and Smilezone.
With extensive experience in the Arts, she also holds an Honours BA in Dance, and has danced professionally in Toronto, NYC and LA. She was named one of Canada's 50 most celebrated artists by The Canada Council for the Arts and was the first dancer to ever perform at Rideau Hall for the Governor General.
Ms. Smith is married and has 2 children.
