Candidate - Director (Saskatchewan)
I currently serve as the Chief of Staff to the Minister responsible for Advanced Education, Status of Women, and Innovation in Saskatchewan. Prior to this role, I worked in a number of public relations roles in Saskatchewan, including communications consultant at Farm Credit Canada, and a senior consultant at Hill + Knowlton Strategies. At H+K, I provided strategic advice to clients on government relations and communications issues. I’ve also worked as a policy and communications aide in Saskatchewan’s executive government.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Regina, and have worked internationally in Amman, Jordan for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), as well as at Vietnam National University in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Through my work, I have seen how important it is to have women at leadership tables, and especially women who are not solely focused on the areas where women are often seen as victims but instead focused on areas of opportunity. It is critical to have more voices who are focused on jobs and the advancement of women in the workplace and women as leaders and executives in Canadian politics. We need more views like that with Equal Voice, and I’m looking forward to hopefully representing Saskatchewan!
