The Rosemary Speirs Leadership Grant was first launched in 2019 for the 2019 Daughters of the Vote delegates. The aim of the Grant is to encourage delegates to accelerate advocacy efforts in their local communities.
Since its launch, the Rosemary Speirs Leadership Grant helped support more than a hundred community projects initiated by delegates.
2019 DoV Delegates Avneet Sandhu, Emily Haugen, Meghan Dunn, and Leena Parhar were recently featured in an article published by The Runner speaking about their incredible grant project - the She Connects volunteer initiative.
She Connects is a volunteer initiative that provides virtual/online mentorship to young women. Their main goal is to connect young women in high school with women who have graduated, to foster thought exchange, dialogues, and mentorship synergies. She Connects provides a safe space for young girls and women and allows them to speak to a mentor directly about anything they might need guidance on.

We are pleased to announce that the Rosemary Speirs Leadership Grant is now open to the 2021 delegates as of today. With this program, $1000 is made available to every 2021 Daughters of the Vote delegate for a community engagement initiative that gets their project approved by Equal Voice.
Congratulations to the She Connects team for their amazing initiative!
We look forward to continuing to support future community projects.
