Programming Manager (2 spots) - Joanne Pitkin

Joanne Pitkin is a senior communications and public affairs professional. Since 2010, she has worked in strategic communications, media relations, issues management and public affairs for clients in Canada's finance, defence, technology and manufacturing sectors. She is currently a Director in the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs practice at Argyle Public Relationships. 

Joanne has been involved in Equal Voice for over eight years, recently serving on the national Board of Directors as NCR Chapter Co-Chair. During her term as NCR Chapter Co-Chair, Joanne oversaw the chapter's steering committee activities and played a pivotal role in organizing the chapter's first campaign school. 

In addition to her involvement in Equal Voice, Joanne volunteers with Women in Governance (La Gouvernance au Féminin), a not-for-profit organization supporting women in leadership development, career advancement and board governance, and is Vice-Chair for the Canadian Advocacy Network, an organization dedicated to providing pro-bono public affairs counsel for non-profit and charity organizations. In October 2017 she joined the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers network and this year lead the Toronto Hub's national initiative on civic engagement.
