I am currently the sitting Director for the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon, after having been appointed this past January. I am seeking a new term because I would like to continue building on the work that I have been part of this year, including strengthening Equal Voice’s policy framework from my position on the Governance Committee and assisting the HR Committee.
I am very passionate about politics and have been involved both federally and territorially for the past 18 years in the Yukon. I have served three terms as President of a territorial party, am a past territorial leadership candidate, and have devoted many years to serving in a financial capacity on both the territorial and federal level. I have also managed numerous campaigns, from individual candidates to being part of a team that has elected and re-elected various governments.
I have many years of board governance experience from being involved in various national and local non-government organizations serving primarily women and youth objectives. I am currently the President of Yukon Women in Trades and Technology and the Treasurer for the Youth of Today Society. I am passionate about introducing young women and girls to all the opportunities that exist for them in non-traditional fields.
Professionally I have run my own businesses and worked in Finance, HR, IT and served government cabinets. I am currently the Chief Administrative Officer for a construction company and manage over 2 million dollars in revenue each year, as well as providing HR services.
