About Equal Voice
Equal Voice is a national, registered charity dedicated to achieving gender parity in Canadian politics through research, education, and leadership development. Since 2001, Equal Voice has been at the forefront of advocating for the equal representation of women and gender-diverse individuals in Parliament, provincial and territorial legislatures, municipal councils, and Indigenous governance. Our programs provide the training, resources, and networks needed to help women and gender-diverse individuals successfully run for office and lead in political life.

With a small but dynamic team and a nationwide network of volunteers, Equal Voice operates as an innovative, nimble, and solution-focused organization. As a cross-partisan organization, we champion democracy, civic participation, and political diversity by fostering collaboration across all political perspectives to advance gender equity in public office.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the delivery, promotion, and reporting of Equal Voice’s campaign schools, seminars, webinars, and conferences.
• Conduct research and compile reports on topics related to gender equity in politics.
• Support outreach and engagement efforts with stakeholders, volunteers, and community partners.
• Manage invitations, schedules, and administrative tasks for educational programs.
• Assist with data entry and management using CRM software.
• Provide general administrative support as needed.

 

Internship Details: 
Duration: 12 weeks (April – June)
Hours: ~10 hours per week (flexible scheduling, up to 120 hours total)
Location: Remote

 

Eligibility & Preferred Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
• Experience with survey design, data analysis, and research.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee operations, governance support, and internal processes while acting as a key liaison between the Executive Director, staff, and external vendors, contractors and suppliers.
