Born and raised in Toronto, Etana is a long-time Equal Voice member and volunteer. She served as an Equity Officer during the first Daughters of the Vote, and is a past Chapter Chair and National Board Member. A strong advocate for gender equity, Etana worked as the Manager of Advocacy and Communications at YWCA Toronto, the city’s largest multi-service women’s organization. She also has six years under her belt working as a staffer on Parliament Hill. Etana is passionate about ensuring that women – especially young women and those of diverse backgrounds – are better represented in positions of leadership.
