Youth Chapter - Events

On October 23, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. mayoral candidates David Miller, Jane Pitfield and Stephen LeDrew will square off in Hart House’s Great Hall. The debate will focus on issues of relevance to young voters, such as the environment, social justice, and public transit, and be moderated by Kofi Hope, a dynamic young activist. The candidates will respond to five pre-determined questions before the floor is opened for questions from the audience.

Prior to the debate voters will also have a chance to meet and mingle with many of the youth candidates contending the mayoral and councillor elections, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Great Hall.

The debate will be organised through the efforts of Hart House, the Toronto Youth Cabinet, Canada 25, Equal Voice Toronto & Equal Voice Youth, and the Student Administrative Council of the University of Toronto.
