CHAPTER News from EV NCR
Equal Voice NCR launched Particip8/ Marrainage on March 8, 2010 at restaurants and around kitchen tables in the region, as discussed above. NCR also strongly supported the Ottawa Experiences Networking Reception at The Metropolitain on March 9. The event brought together approximately fifty mentors, mentees, and supporters for a night filled with networking games, and fun. Equal Voice NCR was happy to have been a part!
We are busy organizing our EVE Ottawa Award and look forward to announcing the details in the coming months. We also look forward to Ottawa Race Weekend at the end of May where we will undertake outreach into the woman-dominated running community. Stay tuned for details!

Equal Voice Annual General Meeting and Hall of Fame kick-off

We are pleased to announce that on Tuesday, June 10th, Equal Voice will induct its first members to the National Capital Region Equal Voice Hall of Fame during its first fundraising luncheon with surprise guests. This is an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the enormous contributions women have made in the past and continue to make to Canadian politics. Following the luncheon, we will be celebrating the past year's successes and announce plans for the future during our second General Meeting. Finally, we will be electing new members to the Executive of the National Capital Region Chapter.
Space for the Hall of Fame Lunch is limited, so don't wait to register. The lunch will also be an opportunity to join Equal Voice as a member and by joining or renewing now you will be in a great position to help us elect the new executive on June 10th! The General Meeting will take place on June 10th from 1:30 pm to 2:00pm and there is no cost to attend this portion of the festivities. Please note that only members of Equal Voice in good standing will be eligible to vote for the new Executive. We are calling for nominations for the positions of Chair (2 years), Membership Secretary (2 year), Treasurer (1 year) and Secretary (2 year). If you are interested, please contact capital@equalvoice.ca before May 31, 2008. Your nomination needs to be seconded by another member of Equal Voice.
