Doris Anderson, legendary Chatelaine editor, author, and women's rights activist until her death in March, 2007 at age 85, was a leading voice for the election of more women. She joined our Founders’ Chapter, often speaking publicly for our cause of fairer representation for women at all levels of politics in Canada. Doris was frustrated by the glacial pace of change and always pushed for action.
We are honored that Doris had confidence in Equal Voice and remembered us in her will.
To pay tribute to her wonderful fighting spirit, we have created a special Doris Anderson Fund within Equal Voice. Her bequest will be used to bolster Equal Voice’s core mission of campaigning for the election of more women across the country.
Anyone wishing to join Doris in supporting our mission can donate on line by selecting the Doris Anderson Fund or can write a cheque to Equal Voice and put “Doris Anderson Fund” in the memo line.
Cheques should be directly mailed to: Donna Dasko, National Chair, Equal Voice, 114 Park Road, Toronto, Ontario M4W 2N7.
